During four days of wind and waves, Las Cucharas Beach, hosted the best windsurfing in Europe offering a great show and perfect wind conditions.
Yentel Caers was proclaimed winner of the European Windsurfing Championship in the Freestyle category. Yentel is enjoying a fantastic moment as he has also recently won the Fuerteventura Championship last week, which belongs to the European tour too. The French Adrien Bosson and Antony Ruenes performed amazing manoeuvres and got the second and third place respectively.
33 riders from 18 different countries participated in this fifth edition of the internationally recognised championship that took place in Costa Teguise from Wednesday to Saturday. The spectacle has been amazing thanks to the wind and the stunning manoeuvres performed by some of the best windsurfer in the world like the Belgian Yentel Caers and Steven Van Broeckhoven or the Argentinian Tonky Frans.
The classification of this race was part of the 2018 European Championship, as it is a qualifying race of the European windsurfing circuit and scores for the EFPT (European Freestyle Pro Tour.)
This edition, as a novelty and with great success, a championship called Bananity Pro Kids was held for the youngest riders. The winner of the race was the Greek Lennart Neubauer, the neo-Caledonian Corto Dumond got the second place and the curacaoan Stefan de Bell got the third place.
Those attending the event were able to enjoy four days of different activities full of fun, beach sports and water activities on Las Cucharas Beach.
