The most exciting amateur golf circuit in Spain, the ” AESGOLF Lanzarote Golf Tour – Grand Teguise Playa Trophy”, concluded its latest edition with a spectacular event, focusing not only sport, but also on sustainability and solidarity with the local community
The Grand Finale of this competition was held on the idyllic courses of Costa Teguise Golf and Lanzarote Golf, with the full support of the Hotel Grand Teguise Playa, which has been a mainstay of the circuit for eleven years. This year, the competition was more exciting than ever due to the inclusion of a Ladies category, allowing Susana Segura Barrios to shine with her victory, adding another win to her impressive season.
In the men’s category, Máximo José Martínez García stood out as the undisputed champion, making his mark in this prestigious tournament. But it wasn’t all about competition; the XI Grand Teguise Playa Charity Christmas Tournament, held simultaneously, raised an impressive 17,250 euros for an organisation that supports families at risk of exclusion, demonstrating the power of sport to unite and help those most in need.
The event was not only about golf, but also about celebration and community engagement. After an exciting day of sport, participants and spectators enjoyed a cocktail reception and gala dinner, culminating in a charity raffle. This year, David Ortega took the title of Scratch champion with an exceptional performance in challenging weather conditions.
