The competition has successfully celebrated its tenth anniversary, with Pedro Rodríguez and Tereza Tvarůžková, absolute winners on this occasion
The island of Lanzarote is once again the perfect setting to host an international MTB event led by the Ultrabike Club Santa Rosa Lanzarote on what has been its tenth occasion, reaffirming itself as a sporting event acclaimed by both local and elite athletes.
The classification table of the different categories and modalities shows the marked international character of an Ultrabike Club Santa Rosa Lanzarote that has managed to carve out a space among national bikers from different parts of the peninsula, as well as continental professionals who have not stopped celebrating. the quality of a test framed in a privileged, picturesque environment.
The La Palman Pedro Rodríguez (4:27:55) and the Czech Tereza Tvarůžková (5:10:28) were the absolute winners, occupying the top of a podium loaded with quality with the Andalusian Carmen Martín and the Majorera Lourdes Bethencourt coming second and third on the women’s podium; and Raúl Castrillo from Burgos and Milan Damek, also from the Czech Republic, responsible for filling out the men’s podium.
On Saturday, this tenth edition began on the eighth island with the La Graciosa – Líneas Romero Time Trial, being one of the few opportunities to be able to compete in the exclusive Graciosero landscape, enjoying quality sport with the spectacular backdrop of the Chinijo Archipelago and the shocking risk of Famara on the opposite side.
At 8.30am the following day, the joint starting gun sounded for the Bike Costa Teguise, 53km modes; and the Ultra Santa Rosa, of 107km, routes that once again raised passions from the bicycle, with runners and spectators not hesitating to praise the originality of the unique landscape.
The sensational environment at the starting point gave way to the imposing area of Los Ancones and the Costa de Mala that served as inspiration for the bikers who headed their way up to Arrieta, passing through the emblematic landscapes of enclaves such as Tiagua, Tinajo, Tahiche, Tajaste and Las Caletas, where the characteristic volcanic landscape of Lanzarote once again exceeded all expectations.
All that remained was to top off this MTB party with the trophy ceremony, where the organisation had prepared numerous surprises for its tenth anniversary. Food, live music, DJs and photo sessions, were some of the activities that both competitors, companions and spectators could enjoy, wrapping up a new success for the Ultrabike Club Santa Rosa Lanzarote.
