The oldest marathon in the Canaries celebrated in Lanzarote its 26 edition, gained high participation and enjoyed excellent weather conditions
About 2,000 participants met on Saturday 10 December in Costa Teguise, ready to enjoy an unforgettable running day. All the races started from 7.55 am including different modalities: Wheeler, Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10km and 5km. The south bay of Lanzarote was filled up with hundreds of runners who completed the circuit to reach the finish line in Costa Teguise.
The Irish Gary O ‘Hanlon (02.35.51) followed by Teemu Planting (02.42.47) and Tim Hawkins (02.43.54) were the marathon winners. Nollaigh O’Neill (03.01.46). First position in the female category went to Nollaigh O’Neill (03.01.46), the 2nd and 3rd ones went to Frieden Sarah Noemi (03.04.03) and Lucy Biddlestone (03.07.06).
